:: Universe Sunstreaker " They can't beat the BEST"

In the original G1 animation series, Sunstreaker's is modeled based on the modified yellow 1980 Lamborghini Countach with exposed engine on the roof. For the 2007 universe version, it is remodeled based on the Lamborghini Gallardo with a similar exposed engine on the roof.

Left: Lamborghini Countach, Right: Lamborghini Gallardo

:: ALTERNATE MODE
Exposed engine on the root is detachable and would be attached onto his back in robot mode. The exhaust of the car could also be detached to become his electron pulse blaster.

If you notice, the license plate at the rear of the vehicle says ' WE R 84'. This means We are 84 meaning the birth of the Transformers Franchise.

*All information from: Transformers WIKI.

:: Transformation

Transformation is quite straight forward. It also comes with an auto morph feature where the head can be raised by turning the roof/windshield clockwise.The Exposed Engine can be detached from the roof and reattached at the back of the head in robot mode similar to G1 series.

:: ROBOT MODE

The robot mode is really nice. It looks very clean and proportion. The unique head is very well scrupled and close to the G1 series. The toy itself has excellent articulation making it possible to pose it in any style. Also I realized that there are some similarities along the arm and hand portion compared to the Classic bumblebee.

:: Overall

Sunstreaker showing off his trusty electron pulse blaster.

Sunstreaker is indeed a very well designed toy to kick start the Universe series. It lives up to the name of being the ' Mr Perfect' in the G1 series. This highly articulated toy is fun to play with and there is no problem in posing it in all kinds of style. The only -ve thing about this toy is that the paint job had been quite a disappointment. This has got to be Hasbro's QC part. Surely they should start to do something about it.

Year 2009 will start with a BANG! 1st up, my Collections Part 1.0

2 weeks of extended 'Force' Leave = House cleaning + tidying up my Display shelf and collections...I do not own any fancy shelves as I had a budget to keep for my renovation so what I got myself are some billy bookshelves and a glass door 'server' cabinet.

Full length Billys Bookshelves from IKEA.

Masterpieces and Takara Primus

The Energon Unicron and some others.

Those who know me are fully aware that my favorite all time Transformers Series had to be Superlink. Even in year 2009, I'm still looking out for bits and pieces of them which I had yet to get my hands on. These loose pieces of Superlink figures are a permanent feature in my Display shelf. If you spend some time to count, you can see that I had almost 4 of the same 'powelink'able Autobot deluxe and mind you what you seen here on display are just part of it. There are still quite a number of MISB still lying inside my storeroom.

The upper most shelf consists of extras I used to combine with one another. They also includes the omicons and kicker. If you notice all the Energon Stars on the omicons are glowing. This is what I call; Special effects!

The 2nd shelf consist of single uncombined figures. In the middle of this shelf also features the limited edition mail away exclusive Black rodimus and Fire Fiery Convoy.

more superlink....

3rd row consist Superlink Decepticons. I had separated them into orginal form (right) and Super energised/revived form (left). If you had watched the series, you will understand what I meant.

4th row consist of Alternators and Binaltechs. These display pieces are loose pieces i got off ebay and yahoo auction, all at a cheap price. the front and back rows are actually same mold but different characters. Other than Rumble which I had 2 of them, the rest are same molds e.g. Jazz sharing mold with Shockblast, Tracks yellow and blue.

and more...

The side smaller billy shelf are still Superlinks. Bruticus and Devastater are now being reissue in universe but the color really cannot make it compared to the colorful superlinks. Below this row are the terrorcons.

and further more...

Top row are the bigger size Autobots, Omega supreme and Superion. Also are Bulkhead and some variations of signal flare. Below this row are the Powerup Autobot protectors.

The rest of the shelves are more like bits and pieces of Galaxy Force and Animated Series. Most of them I got them loose. Hated getting MISB as the price are higher and frankly speaking I hate to remove the wire ties from toys. So f@#$ing ma fan.

more GF....and some marcoss...

If you can see the GF Starscream is the TRU limted Hasbro figure that comes exclusive with vector prime. I got this loose while I was in USA at a reasonable price. This piece is quite rare in sg and I can say that this starscream mold is one of the best starscream made. Recently, many variation of the mold are surfacing like Botcon Jetfire and Dirge. I am expecting more variation of repaints to come from Hasbro.

Some movie stuff are also put on display at the sides. I only display those in the movies as I am running out of space to display. Those not in movies are kept in my storeroom.

The Transformers movies Autobots and of cos Sam Witwicky holding the all sparks.

The Transformers movie Decepticons. Same here all repaints and non movie charaters are kept.

More movie stuff and some KO alternators.

Another billy at the side of my room. This shelf is relative empty as I am keeping it for some other Transformers series.

Left 2 rows are Transformers Movie leader class figures. All are still MISB.

On the side is Unicron with some Revoltech tranformers figures.

Last rows are the Henkeis that are still kept MOSC.

I had finished up my billy bookshelf. Up next is my 'glass' door sever cabinet.

This is the Glass door 'server' cabinet which I got from Ikea. Its actually a cabinet for office used.
The good thing about this cabinet is that the partitions are all glasses and its quite deep. Bad thing is that there is no lights in it.

1st row are the RID series. I had sold quite a number of my only car brothers and left with a few. Those are also kept in my storeroom. I only display Fire convoy and Ultra Magnus.

2nd Row consist of Optimus and his Nemesis. On the left are all the Nemesis primes and right are the original red blue ones. I did not display some of the bigger set like Powermaster and the TRU exclusive nemesis powermaster prime as I had limited space. The revoltech nemesis prime is a custom that I had done some time back.

3rd row consist of the Classic Seekers mold. I like this mold very much and had about 5 starscream which I had customed 2 of them into Thundercracker and Sunstorm. My actual intention to custom thundercracker is that the Henkei ones are over my budget but in the end I still got it loose at a cheaper price. The display was done up as if they had all transformed from plane to robot mode with Acid storm and Sunstorm looking on from the side.

The last row are the classics. I recreate a battle scene out of it. For Ramjet, and Bumblebee I did the same thing as Starscream displaying the transforming figure and the final transformed figure to simulate them transforming.
