Movie 2007 Drop Kick

The reason why I am reviewing this 2007 toy is because I just sold it! It is one of the few in 2007 movie that I really like but sometimes things just have to go so I took tons of pictures hours before it got sold and compile to upload them into my blog. Hope the new owner enjoys it as much as I do!.
Dropkick did not really appeared in the 2007 Movie. The actual appearance in fact is in Transformers: The Game Console. In the game, Dropkick was a mass produced drones used by both the Autobots and the Decepticons . For Autobots, it was in red as Savage and Decepticons in blue as Dropkick.

Vehicle Mode:

Dropkick's alternate mode was modeled after Chevrolet silverado pickup truck, however there were some customizations to the original due to some licensing issue from Hasbro.

On the vehicle itself, you would not find the Decepticons logo. The logo was in fact painted on the hook and rooftop if you take a closer look. Smart move by Hasbro.

The blue flatbed cover at the back of the pickup can be removed and transformed into a giant claw/piler as seen below. Removing the flatbed cover also reveals a very detail interior of the back section of the truck.

The giant claw/piler used by Dropkick.

Transformation:

Transformation was easy except for the rear area where I had to refer to the instructions to find out how to open up them up. After that, it was pretty straight forward. One thing that I like about this Dropkick is that there are a couple of spring loaded sections where transformation become pretty "automatic". Well done Hasbro.

Lifting up the roof and out jumps the head like a Jack in the box. Yes the head was spring loaded.

Robot Mode:

Very neat design of Dropkick. The detailing was enormous. One of the best among the movie toys although I wished for better legs design rather than the "chicken feet" similar to Starscream. I guess Hasbro wanted to make the figure more "drones" looking. At least we should be thankfully that they did not design it to be a one eye drone like Swindle or Payload.

I like the rear section, it looked like sections of wings spread out.

Left: "Chicken Feet". Right: Twin blaster on each forearms.

Look at the details on the chest area! There was even enough space to have a Decepticon logo. The windscreen drops down which reminds me of Optimus Prime. The helmet on its head reminds me of those wore by the world war 2 soldiers.

Watch out Autobots! The twin blaster on each fist can be devastating.
