This week, Galaxy Force Thundercracker
Plane mode
You may have already notice that for the first time in many years, Thundercracker is not a direct repaint of the Starscream mold. The reason might be that Starscream's alternate form is a cybertronian space craft while Thundercracker is an earth jet-plane. Nevertheless, after a search in the internet, this alternate form of Thundercracker is in fact modeled after the Russia Sukhoi SU-34.
Majority of Thundercracker's plane body is in Dark Grey. You will find numerous striking bright orange used at areas around the wings, fins and missile heads. The bottom of his plane body is found to be in molded blue which is his G1 signature color. Other colors used include black on his nose cone and silver on some highlights.
I notice many rubber made parts on this small plane. The small fins at the side, the tail fins, nose cone and missiles are all made with rubber. I am never a fan of rubbery parts but I guess this is more due to safety reasons.
Front and Back view
Thundercracker is pretty well designed in his plane mode. The joint lines are carefully placed and will hardly notice it to be a transformer.
From the side, you can see that Thundercracker comes with retractable landing gear. One at the front and two at the back.
Details
The transparent orange cockpit is a nice touch blending well with the rest of the orange paint apps on the plane body. Looking further to the front, you will find the nosecone which is in black and is bended slightly downwards. If you look a little bit closer, there is actually a joint that will be only useful during transformation to his robot mode.
One very nice detail added to Thundercracker is the orange panel lining along his wings to the middle of his plane body. The color combination really hit off well.
Thundercracker comes with a blue earth Cyber Key with a symbol of the Sun in the middle. His Force Ignition inlet is located behind his plane body just in between the two blue jet exhaust.
Upon ignition, the cover at the middle of the plane will flipped up show a cannon inside. This canon comes with a projectile that can be fired when the button at the side is pressed.

Overall
Thundercracker plane mode is very well design with minimum joint lines spotted on the plane body. The amount of details are decent and not too exaggerating since it is a earth plane. I especially like the orange panel linings that stands out from the dark grey. Color combination is great and the proportions are superb.
Transformation
Thundercracker's transformation is quite unique and it reminds me of the RID days where parts are linked by short linkages and had to go through tight spaces to shift parts around.
