Universe Tread Bolt (Part 2)

This week will continue with the Universe Tread Bolt in Armor mode.

Robot unarmored mode:

I'm not surprise to find the robot mode exactly the same as Classics Jetfire. No change in head or anything else.

Despite the lack of new features from Jetfire, Tread Bolt looks a decent repaint.

Weight balance is an issue in this mode. The thrusters are too heavy and Tread Bolt tends to fall backwards when I try to pose him standing straight. From the back, the wing pattern looks like a butterfly.

Details:

I'm not a fan of robots with blue face. Not even Tread Bolt. Somehow, the face with the yellow side antenna resembles G1 Kickback.

The silver Autobot logo relocates to the chest of Tread Bolt in Robot mode.

Visible ports on both forearms very likely to be attached with some accessories in armored mode. The chest area which is transformed from the nosecone looks decent.

The 2 blasters from the previous plane mode can be combine to form a twin head laser cannon.

Robot in armored mode:

Tread Bolt looks completely different in armored mode. His new kit includes the thrusters turned shoulder cannons, the missile launcher that attached onto both forearms, a new head or helmet and a new twin head laser cannon.

Tread bolt is better balanced with the Thrusters bending forward to transform into shoulder cannons. He doesn't fall back in this mode.

Details:

Tread Bolt with his helmet on. Much better looking than the previous blue face. However, the side antennas looks too far off from his head.

Missile launchers attached to the ports on his forearms.

Articulations:

Tread Bolt has quite a decent number of articulations. There are many double joints on his limbs to make him very poseable. Most impressive is the neck joint where you can turn the head upwards.

Overall:

I would highly recommend Tread Bolt as I find him very fun to play with in both plane mode and robot mode. The generous amount of articulation, gimmicks and accessories in both mode makes him very playable. You can even create your own modes as seen below.

Outlook: 7/10 (I am not in favor of Tread Bolt's color scheme. However if it is Jetfire, I would give a 9)
Articulation: 8/10
Playability: 10/10
