Cybertron / Galaxy Force Undermine (Part 2)

This week, we continue on Undermine in Robot mode.

Frankly speaking, I'm not very impressed with his robot mode. One thing for sure is the lack of variation between his two forms. It seems to me the more distinct areas of difference is the arms where it is transformed from the Dino head. Other than that, most parts pretty retains.

The Force ignition key slot is now situated behind his head with the sail becoming part of his head. Notice there is a grey slot just below his sail. That is the original place where the tail is attached to. In robot mode, the tail detached to become his weapon.

Undermine do not have the typical human face like most of the other figures. Instead he has this gold colored fish face with elongated red eyes making him look a little creepy. The head sits in front of the sail and since the designer did not have any intention to hid it, is actually very visible in dino mode if you look closely.

Front & back view:

In robot mode, Undermine do not have proper hands. His robot arms look awkwardly curved and the idea of using his Dino jaw as hands looks a little pushy. His jaw hands are unable to hold his weapon, so a rectangle cutout is added for the weapon to attach.

Undermine's articulation remains a plus point but the lack of variety from his Dino form will make you grow tired in no time.

Force Gimmick:

Force ignition key can be insert from the back of the sail. Same as before, the grey blade springs out from the front sail but this time it sits on top of his robot head to appear as a horn instead.

He looks good from the side especially with the distinct details on the fan shape head.

Horns out, charge!

Summary:

All in all, Undermine is a fun figure and good to play with in both mode. However, if there is more variation between both mode, things will be much much better.
