Generations Hoist (Part 2)

This week will continue with Hoist in Robot mode

Robot mode:

Hoist in robot mode actually looks better than Trailblazer despite both sharing the same mold. The reason for this is probably due to the vibrant green used that brings out a lot of the figure's details, something that is not achieved in Trailblazer.

The back is the same. Quite hollow like Trailblazer.

Hoist color scheme is mainly made up of green with some areas in orange, silver ,blue and black. The new head and color is very close to his G1 self. I guess Hasbro wanted this mold to be Hoist more than Trailblazer. Let's see more of him in details.

Front and Back:

Hoist's head seems a little small on this bulky upper body. Somehow, the head to body fit is not as good as Trailblazer.

Head shot:

As you can see, one of the differences between Hoist and Trailblazer is the head. Hoist's head and face design is based on the G1 version. Most of the G1 features such as his visor and the covered mouth are reproduced.

Details:

Look at how the details pop out on this one.

The close fist hands and the vintage yellow black caution decals.

The lower limbs.

Accessories

Hoist's lifting crane can be transform into a blaster.

A closer look at how the blaster looks like.

Hoist is more of a maintenance guy than a fighter. Anyone needs a battery charged?

Articulation:

There is no difference in the articulation between him and Trailblazer.

Final words:

Generations Hoist like the previously reviewed Trailblazer is a good interpretation of the G1 version. To be honest, I think Hasbro did a good job in creating 2 figures that had their own uniqueness inspire of using the same mold. This is done skillfully through colors and minor mold changes. However, there is one thing that I am quite disappointed is to why some of the G1 features are discarded like the solar panels which can be easily integrated into his back forming a canopy instead of just a lifting crane. I thought this could really change things to look more G1.

Partners or just sharing the same mold?

Same mold but each have their own uniqueness.
