The Galaxy Force series produces many exciting figures and this week, I am going to review one of my favorite figure who is the ever treacherous Starscream!
Alternate mode:
Starscream alternate mode is a Cybetronian space craft (seeker). The appearance looks to be a mixture between the seekers that appear in the G1 series and the War within series.
His space craft design looks very futuristic. The bottom side is narrow like a ship's hull making it looks as if it is floating at some angles. The front nosecone is pointed hardly the typical space craft we seen.
In terms of color
scheme, there is certainly no big surprises. He comes in standard Starscream trademark combination of Red, Grey and Black. This
time round however, there are also some yellow and transparent purple use on the
cockpit transparent cover as well as his weapons.
Front, Back and Side
From the front, Starscream's space craft shade is a pyramid shape. The wings are particularly small looking more like fins rather that wings. Even the tail fins looks bigger.
From the rear, you can see there are one jet engine on each side of wings. Look closely, you can also see parts of his robot fists.
From this side view, you can clearly see the elongated pyramid shape as well as the narrow ship's hull shape at the bottom mentioned earlier.
Details:
From the top of the cockpit, you can lots of details added. Most of the details are molded as raised panel with some paint apps running across them.
Notice the two black turrets beside the cockpit, it is a pity that they cannot be rotate.
Starscream does come with wheels but they are not retractable.Again, here you seen how narrow the bottom is.

Transformation:
Transforming this version of Starscream is quite easy despite being a little different from the regular G1 style.
The sequence is as follows:
1) Pull out the front of the jet. Separate into 2 halves and unfold to form his legs.
2) Fold the middle of the jet 90 degrees to form the upper body and shoulders
3) Rotate the side wings, fold the upper limbs forward to snap into place to complete the transformation.
Summary
This version of Starscream is by far my favorite. The design is very futuristic. The colors used are very matching and the details are amazing. Playability wise is limited though.
Next week: Robot mode
