Human.Alliance.Bumblee.Pt.1

This is one of the few toys that I really want out of the ROTF line of toys. I had learned my lesson not to get any of the deluxe after the 1st movie as they were always not quite up to the mark. This series which is Human Alliance is exactly what I wanted. It comes in a good scale and detailing. The only put off factor is the price which is similar as an ultra class. Never the least I waited a long time for the price to drop only to get a loose piece at half the price as I was not fast enough to get it when sale comes.

Vehicle Mode:

As we all know from the 1st movie, Bumblebee's alternator mode takes after a Chevrolet Camaro concept car. This is in fact a second version which is not much a difference in styling compared to the 1st version except for the custom-ed bumper area. One look at the scale of this human alliance vehicle mode reminds me of an alternator.

The vehicle sports the trademark yellow with black strips. The yellow has a dark but glossy tone unlike the tone used on the deluxe which is rather dull. There are a couple of good detailing which will be captured as we go along. One thing I notice is that unlike the alternator, the front wheels cannot be steer left or right. I find this version the best as the spoiler in the 3rd movie looks a bit too flashy and the lack of a unique bumper for the 1st version looks out of touch.

There are

The paint job for the black strips are decent. The part lines on the bonnet are not visible. Same goes for the rear section. The oil tank on the left of the rear is one of the effort to add details.

The embossed Camero logo on both side of the car between the front wheel and the front doors looks really good.

The front of the vehicle is nicely done. The red outlined black Chevrolet logo on the front has nice details on the "V" shape black section just behind the logo. This goes the same for the bumper area. I particular like the new bumper area design which bends out towards the edge.

The rear of the vehicle has contrasting details compared to most parts of the vehicle. The rear light were painted on which I felt an actual transparent red part to replace this would have been better. The Chevrolet logo continues with what we had on the front and at the bottom of the logo is the license plate that has a "4NZZZ54" plate number which in fact is one 'Z' more than the movie.

The side door opens up like a real car unlike those deluxe.

Inside the car, you can find a normal looking dashboard with not much of a detail except for the yellow steering wheel and some unpainted speed indicators. The seats are also a letdown which doesn't really look realistic. They look more like a spaceship seat to me.

Human figure:

It is no surprise that the human alliance for Bumblebee is Sam Witwicky. The fast talking kid forms a special relationship with Bumblebee throughout the entire movie series.

Sam's figure is quite detail and the colors of the attire matches what he was wearing in the movie. In terms of playability, the figure has quite a number of articulations. Most of the joints are ball joints that can be rotated 360 degrees. I would think that an extra touch to enable the head to look up and down will complete the figure.

The face does resemble Sha LaBeouf in a way but am pretty disappointed by the choice of his expression. Honestly, the expression looks rather dumb.

Sam fits well on the seats.

Someone is missing next to him. Yes. Can someone spare me a Mikela figure?
