Cybertron / Galaxy Force Roadstorm (Part 2)

This week will continue with Lugnutz in robot mode.

A look at Lugnutz and you will notice that the entire figure looks unbalance. In fact, I had a hard time making him stand upright throughout the photo shoot,as his skinny legs are unable to hold his huge upper body weight.

The main reason for the imbalance come from his back. As you can see, the entire rear section of the bike sits on his back which cause him to fall backwards. The only plus point is that the legs are ball jointed so it is up to you how you may twist them to allow the figure to stand upright.

In terms of play value, Lugnutz is really not up to the required mark even though he has a reasonable amount of joints at his limbs. The main problem for this is that there isn't much areas to move his limbs as they are often obstructed by his other parts. This significantly reduce his play value and the ability to pose.

Front and Back View:

Notice how wide his upper body is. This plus the added weight on his back makes him extremely difficult to stand without toppling at various pose.

Head Shot:

Lugnutz has a decent head design. He wore a pair of yellow visors and has a silver human face. On top of his head, the oil cap from his motorcycle mode turns into his helmet. If you have a closer look, he seems to be having a chin strip around which looks really cool.

Force Ignition Gimmick:

Lugnutz comes from the Earth planet and the Force Ignition key is in blue with silver borders. In his robot mode, the Force ignition key slot is behind his head.

A Series of missile launchers flip up upon insertion of the Force ignition Key.

Notice the exhaust pipe can be detached and become his weapon (looks like a trumpet to me).

Summary:

The Galaxy Force series produce several well design figures but sad to say, Lugnutz is not one of them. His playability is extremely low not only in his alternate motorcycle mode (cannot steer his front wheel) but also his robot mode (unable to properly pose his limbs due to bad joints and obstruction from neighboring parts).
