Generations Trailblazer (Part 2)

This week continue with Generations Trailblazer in Robot mode

Robot mode:

Generations Trailblazer in his robot mode looks so much better than his G1 self. The figure is very well proportion and you can see Hasbro this time round wanted him to look a little beef up especially his upper body. This is so much better than the G1 version which had irregular body length and the worst is the wide stomach area which looks as if he is pregnant.

From the back, Trailblazer looks decent enough for a pass. The only issue here is that you can see quite a number of areas that are hollow sections. This explains why the figure is so lightweight as highlighted in the last post.

Look at his broad chest and broad shoulders. I guess the upgrade to an armor vehicle did beef him up.

Front and Back:

Here you get a better view of his bulky upper body and his body proportions. Good for us, he doesn't have thin legs.

Head shot:

Trailblazer features a humanoid face, noticeably the frown mouth and the squarish chin. He retains his visors from G1 but it is blueish black instead of red.

Details:

The upper body

Lots of red plastics are used at intermittent sections to create contrasting effects giving the figure some life instead of the dull grey and black.

Accessories:

The back of the vehicle mode can be removed to form his battle shield mounted with laser turrets.

At the back of the shield is a red handle for him to grab.

The same shield can be mounted on his back's projector.

Lift up the shield and it became twin turret backpack.

Articulations:

The articulation of Trailblazer although decent but they fall off easily. Most of the joints are not fixed and they tends to fall off easily which can be quite irritating at times.

Final Words:

Trailblazer is a great modern interpretation of his G1 self. This is definitely the best Trailblazer version at present. His body portions are good and his face design is one of my favorites. In terms of playability, he can be quite fun having decent amount of articulation that allowed you to pose him.

Hoist, you are next dude.
